bassam design & photography | Rolling Stones CNIB Concert in Oshawa Canada

This was an April, 1979 Rolling Stones/New Barbarians concert of great notoriety. It was presented as a result of a court sentence imposed on Keith Richards for cocaine possession and as a fund-raiser to benefit the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. "...only in Canada you say!" John Belushi was the MC and the "New Barbarians" (a Keith Richards, Ron Wood, then newly formed spin-off group) debuted at the this concert preforming such classics as "F-U-C Her". Incredibly, less than 5000 witnessed the matinee and evening shows combined due to the Oshawa Auditorium's limited seating capacity. Akin to having the Rolling Stones perform in your living room!
